Tim's ANZMAG poster prize
22 Feb., 2006

Tim Larkin, who recently enrolled in his PhD in the School under the supervision of Philip Kuchel, was awarded one of three poster prizes for students at the recent conference of the Australian and New Zealand Society for Magnetic Resonance (ANZMAG).
In his poster Tim described work that was carried out during his Honours year in 2005. He studied the mobility of solutes and ions in bicontinous cubic phases using NMR spectroscopy. Particular emphasis was placed on nuclear magnetic relaxation and diffusion measurements. The results have significance for a basic understanding of solute release from these complex systems as potential drug delivery vehicles.
