Stella Lee wins Poster Prize at Lorne
9 Feb., 2007

Stella Lee, a PhD student in the Crossley Lab, won the Millennium Science Poster Prize at the recent 2007 Lorne Genome Conference.
Stella's work, titled "Phosphorylation regulates KLF protein stability and protein interactions", looks into the effects of Homeodomain-Interacting Protien Kinase 2 (HIPK2) on Kruppel-Like family of transcription factors. Some KLFs are found to be stabilised by HIPK2 phosphorylation and this phosphorylation can also enhance the binding between KLFs and their co-repressors.
