Peter New is now retired and is not able to accept any graduate students or post-doctoral fellows. He worked on Agricultural Microbiology, particularly concentrating on nitrogen fixation, microbial biofertilisers and pesticide degradation.
His interest in educational methods resulted in a number of conference presentations, as well as publications in the area of transfer of mathematical learning.
